The satisfaction of a perfectly designed and crafted pocket or hunting knife that is finished to heirloom quality, performs flawlessly at home or in the field is our goal. After the close of Imperial Schrade Corp., Wally Gardiner and Joe Hufnagel decided to make the finest pocket and hunting knives in the world. They had the advantage of a very skilled group of master cutlers who had demonstrated the ability to make true custom hand made knives.

After searching for an appropriate manufacturing facility, these two principals found a new home at 30 Canal Street in the heart of Ellenville. This was the original Ellenville address where beautiful Schrade knives were made until 1983 when Shrade moved to Rt. 209. In fact, this space is the old Schrade hunting kniife department. It was like stepping back into time; literally nothing had been done with the space since Schrade moved. After installing new electric, heat, lights and 55 pieces of custom knife making equipment , they were ready to make samples. Hang on...here we go with some of the best !!!
