New arrivals of Schatt-Morgan File & Wire We have just received the first production of D-2 pieces from Queen. These new Schatts are fantastic !! Smooth bone for openers , followed by Genuine Burnt Sambar Stag. Last, but not least , my favorite , is Sambar Stag dyed to a rich Amber Color. This is the best Stag in many years from Queen . The new owners , Ken and Ryan Daniels are experts when it comes to picking Stag for these knives …. Keep it coming…. stay tuned , more to come.
In My Opinion......
….. for an EDC (every day carry) pocket knife why not choose an inexpensive made knife from Taiwan, China, or somewhere that will not cost you a fortune to re-place if it gets lost or broken. I have been a great believer in Rough Rider and TAC-FORCE knives for a long time. In my spare time, I mow far too many acres on my property, have way too many trees to mow around, and have to cut suckers off those trees every time I am on the mower. It sure comes in handy to have a TAC-FORCE serrated edge blade on hand when those little suckers are spotted. The knife is the closest thing to a miniature hand saw you can have at that moment.
Why don’t more people admit to using a Chinese blade ? The main reason is that they think it is un-patriotic or just not cool to own one. I have heard the most ridiculous things said about these knives, and so have you at one time or another. I have owned many China and Taiwan knives that cost no more than $15.00 and to be honest , they are easier to sharpen than some of the big names in this Country that are much more expensive. I think these knives have a place in our everyday usage and no one should be ashamed to pull one out to use at work or home. Now to clean your nails or cut stray threads from your Levi‘s, that’s a whole different story.
Just on the chance you are still with me, why not look at the TAC-FORCE pieces I have just listed under the TACTICAL KNIVES category …. You will be quite surprised. I have to charge something for shipping or the shopping cart will not work, so how a single penny for shipping anywhere in the Continental United States .
Yep, you heard correctly ...D2 steel in a File & Wire knife. Never has this been offered before from Queen. Ken Daniels, the new owner , has implemented a bunch of changes that will finally push this pre-1900 label into hyperspeed. Every F & W previous has been ATS-34 and just not promoted as an EDC. This D2 will be easier to sharpen and stay sharp for every day use.
We have two bone handles and one Sambar Stag. These pieces , and all future issues , are limited to a short run of only 100 pieces. With small numbers like this , they will sell out very quickly. Ryan Daniels is telling me to look for a lot of production knives with small number of pieces made. This is the best thing to come out of Titusville since oil was discovered.
